Asbestos Survey, Building Surveys and Testing

AEG Environmental Group assists clients in meeting regulatory requirements for testing suspect materials for asbestos prior to renovation or construction activities. Our certified professionals perform all field work in accordance with OSHA, EPA and AHERA protocols. The asbestos survey is utilized to produce a comprehensive report of the data obtained that includes the locations, quantities, sample results, and CAD drawings to aid the client in acquiring a qualified abatement contractor. The accurate information contained in the report will aid in reducing abatement costs through competitive bidding.

Asbestos Abatement Design

Prior to engaging in the design of an abatement plan, our firm will meet with the client to consider the client’s needs and cost constraints. Once the scope of work has been identified and methods of abatement developed, such as removal, encapsulation, or enclosure, drawings are produced to clearly delineate work areas. A project schedule is coordinated with the client in an effort to allow continued use of the building when required. Specifications of the means and methods for removal are then developed to clearly identify the requirements to be met by the abatement contractor. These specification help to insure compliance with regulatory requirements, and prevent costly change orders

Our staff will provide guidance for the duration of the project from the pre-bid meeting and walk through, contractor bidding and selection process, to the final project closeout.

Asbestos Project /
Air Monitoring

AEG provides only trained and experienced EPA accredited and New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) certified Project Monitors to provide asbestos abatement oversight and air sampling in accordance with New York State Industrial Code Rule 56 and all other applicable state and federal regulations.  In addition to air sampling, our Project Monitors are able to oversee abatement contractors to ensure compliance to all applicable laws, regulations, and job specifications.  Our services include: background air sampling prior to the start of the project, pre-abatement air sampling, daily perimeter air sampling, and post-abatement clearance air sampling (as required by job size and scope).  AEG utilizes only New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) accredited laboratories for our air sampling analysis.  AEG can provide air sampling results to our clients both expeditiously and economically due to our close working relationships with area labs in multiple markets.
